I set out on the task of crocheting a wedding dress. Why, you may ask? Because my husband said I should, and to be honest, I love crocheting difficult, hard, intricate things, but I haven't found a pattern I love for the task.
My gauge is horrible. It's actually a great problem to have. Those of you that don't know, the gauge is how many stitches and rows per 4 inches (10cm). My gauge is always super tight (something about holding the hook too close to the row below it for length and I'm not totally sure how to fix the width). It makes for fantastic pieces that look well made, but it makes it incredibly hard to have a proper gauge for a pattern unless the creator also has a tighter gauge, so... why not make my own? It should only take a year or so...
Here's the problem... contrary to most people's belief, I am not that creative. I enjoy following patterns. I don't really have a knack for coming up with beautiful things on my own.
So here it goes. I hope you're here for the long haul with me. I told my husband when it was finished we had to renew our wedding vows, so, be watching for those save-the-dates in the mail!
I do have a few ideas in mind and I know what yarn I plan on using, so stay tuned!
